Sornwicha Silk is a family run co-operative based in the I-Saan province of Thailand. I-Saan extends from Nakhon Ratchasima (east of Bangkok) to the Laos and Vietnamese borders. The majority of the I-Saan people are subsistence farmers and the region is the least developed in Thailand.

The Sornwicha co-operative runs the entire silk making process, from raising the silkworms, extracting, spinning and dyeing the threads, hand weaving the silk and making the scarves, sarongs and handicrafts. This ensures the entire village community profits from the silk production.
